Call for papers, work with us!

Dear Readers,

Wasshoi! is an ever-growing project, focused on creating the finest interdisciplinary content within this niche that is Japanology and Japanese studies. Our magazine’s main goal is to merge the accessibility of mainstream publications with the precision and acuity of the academic world to which most of our contributors belong.

Therefore, we are constantly on the lookout for fresh and original perspectives on Japan, and it is in this spirit that we are calling for articles to be featured in the future issues of our magazine.

Wasshoi! could be the best place to test your skills under editorial guidance before submitting your research topics to peer reviewed journals. It could provide you with an opportunity to develop a particular theme you’ve been exploring, or approach aspects of Japan that you have always wanted to tackle. You could even use it to research a unique subject that has never been discussed before.

We invite anyone who is interested to submit an abstract of your article (max. 200 words) and a short personal bio (max. 150 words) to info@wasshoimagazine.org. The editorial team will read all submissions and contact everyone to provide feedback. Please read carefully the Writing Guidelines prior to the submission.

We are looking forward to all contributions and are eagerly waiting to discover inspirational new insights into Japan. And as always, thank you for your enthusiastic support!
