Luigi Zeni
Luigi holds an MA in Japanese Studies and East Asian Art History from the University of Zurich. He is currently Head of Collections Redesign at the Museum Rietberg in Zurich. Luigi’s main interest lies in mingei 民芸 – folk art – with particular attention to Japanese ceramics and the contemporary scene of Japanese craftsmanship. He regularly travels to Japan to explore rural life and study ceramic kilns. His other fields of interest include Japanese purification practices, such as misogi 禊 and ōharae 大祓. In his spare time, Luigi enjoys playing table tennis.
